"Lucille" is the fifteenth studio album by B.B. King, released on the BluesWay and MCA labels in 1968. The album is named after his famous Gibson ES-355 guitar. The album was recorded in two days, December 18 and 20, 1967. The rhythm section was the same both days, with nine instruments on the first day and six on the second. The album features B.B. King on guitar and vocals, Irving Ashby on guitar, David "Leather Sax" Allen, Jr. on bass guitar, Lloyd Glenn on piano, Jesse Sailes on drums, Maxwell Davis as leader and on organ, Bobby Forte, Bob McNeely, and Cecil McNeely on saxophone, Mel Moore on trumpet, and John Ewing on trombone.
